Criminal law

Criminal Defense

When charged with a criminal offense, it is important to have competent legal representation.  Individuals will often plead guilty to offenses without consulting an attorney, which leads to unexpected results that can impact your life forever, including spending time in jail.  Attorneys can often negotiate with the State to get you a plea agreement that is more beneficial than just pleading guilty at an initial hearing.  By coming up with an agreement, attorneys can often get charges reduced as well as formulate a sentence that is known ahead of time rather than being at the mercy of a judge.
